February 5 Day Postpartum Food Support

Delivered on Wednesday 12th February

We recommend you organise your delivery for 3-4 weeks before your due date to ensure your food is tucked away in your freezer, ready to nourish you as soon as babe arrives. Eg: if due in Feb, go for a Jan delivery.

Description

Holding you with nourishment, this bundle will give you a 5 day period of nutrient dense delicious food support as you get to know your tiny person, making more time to bond as a family, adapting to the dynamic shift without having to think about what to eat. Each day you’re nourished with a Herbal Tonic for the morning, Lunch, a Nourishing Functional Snack for the afternoon and Dinner. All items are portioned for 2, if not sharing this will last 1 person 10 days.

The meals, snacks & herbal tonics are all designed with postpartum focus foods & botanicals in mind, to nourish, ground and replenish you during this transitional time. Steeped in the wisdom of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine but with Food Doula flavour twists and surprises, always! The meals aid in balancing hormones, supporting digestion, nourishing the blood, grounding the nervous system, replenishing jing, building energy stores and supporting lactation.

What’s in your 5 Day Bundle?

A Morning Herbal Tonic (to start each day)

Postpartum collection blend: healing herbal loose tea, for example…

(Motherwort, Chamomile, Nettle, Fennel, Oatstraw, Linden Blossom & Vervain)

Lunch

2 x Golden Turmeric & Ginger Kitchari w/ A Warming Ghee Tarka

1 x Blood Nourishing Beetroot Soup w/ Lime, Nettle & Coconut

1 x Black Sesame Congee w/ Shitake, Greens & Kombu

1 x Lemon Tarka Dahl w/ Star Anise, Curry Leaf & Fennel

Snack (A nourishing functional snack for each afternoon)

Homemade dark chocolate packed with some of the following nutritive ingredients: goji, sesame seeds, chia seeds, rose petal, dates, tahini, buckwheat, quinoa/ Nourishing energy balls of the month / Chamomile Almond Cookies.

Dinner

2 X Coconut Masala w/ Green Lentils & Greens

1 x Slow Braised Beef, Tomato and Almond Ragu w/ Soft Herbs

1 x Fragrant Green Lime Thai Curry w/ Tofu &  Plants

1 x Olive, Tomato Chard & Queen Butter Bean Braise w/ Parsley & Thyme Oil

PORTIONS

5 days support. If not sharing these meals with someone else, this would last 1 person 10 days. You would simply defrost the meals when you want them, heating half (one portion), refrigerating the other portion in a container and eating within 3 days.

DIETARY

All items in this bundle are free from refined sugar, gluten, seed oils, lactose (kitchari’s & dahl’s contain ghee, lacto free clarified butter and known as ‘liquid gold’ in Ayurveda due to it being extremely nourishing). Please note these meals are made in a kitchen which handles all allergens.

BROTH

The meals are enriched with Ossa Organic chicken bone broth to benefit from it’s mineral and protein rich goodness. Bone broth is a nutritive powerhouse for postpartum healing.

ORDERING

While we advocate for slow living, we encourage fast booking as spaces are limited so if you want to secure the food support you want booking early is advised.
